Country Sunday Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into cubes
- 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine mustard powder, salt, eggs, and milk.
- Place the cubed bread in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the bread cubes.
- Top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes, or until center is set and top is golden.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
